Obituary of Thomas Vanacore

Thomas A. Vanacore - Tom was the rock of the family. He thrived on helping others, family, or strangers it didn’t matter. If you were in need Tom would be there. You could always count on Dad. Tom, though he left us too soon, lived his life to the fullest. He’s a man of many loves. He loved his wife, his children, and his entire family wholly, unconditionally and without judgment. He’s a man of many interests. He was a huge fan of music. He loved listening to his LPs, playing guitar, and going to live shows. He really enjoyed making spreadsheets and budgets (he always used to say ‘You gotta have a budget!’). Tom had a diverse education in computer science and accomplished career as an IT Professional that spanned over five decades. Tom also pursued his own business ventures in real estate and home renovation. Tom loved his country, his Italian culture, music, astronomy, baseball, pool, bowling, guitars, skiing, car racing, fishing, and realty. He loved playing poker with his friends. He loved being with his grandkids. He loved going for a long drive through the mountains with his family. Really, Tom loved a lot of things. He was a pretty cool dude. And he will be greatly missed. A much loved and appreciated man. Tom is survived by his wife Andrea, whom he met one day in the woods of Harriman State Park. She says it was love at first sight. His two loving Daughters Amanda & Jessica, his three adorable grandkids Bella, Matty and Tommy (who is named after Dad and shares the same birthday believe it or not). He is also survived by his brother Michael and his wife Maria and his loving nephews. Tom enjoyed everybody’s company and being with everyone with the time that he had in this life. For any of his family and friends reading – please know that he loved you with all his heart and loved spending his time with you all.
