Obituary of Marjorie Japy

JAPY, Marjorie Gibbs, age 80, died peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday July, 30, 2010. Born in Minneapolis, MN, she lived in Wyckoff, NJ for the last 28 years, and previously in Winchester, MA for 21 years. Marge was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She will be fondly remembered for her nurturing and generous nature, mischievous and playful sense of humor, strength and determination. She attended Northrop School (1948) in MN, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wheaton College (1952) in MA. She is survived by her husband Bernard whom she was married to for fifty one years, four children; Lisa Basilio and husband Thierry of Wilmington, NC, Philippe and wife Christine of Windham, NH, Kate Marincic and husband Tomislav of Purcellville, VA and Christian of Westbrook, CT. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Sean, Nathan, Erin and Luca, her dear mother Kate Gibbs and her sister Pamela Bacon, both of Wayzata, MN. She was preceded in death by her father Merrill H. Gibbs and her brother Merrill "Nick" H. Gibbs, Jr. A private memorial gathering will be held.
