To All Of Our Family & Friends: We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kindness during the recent loss of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, beloved aunt and cousin, and cherished friend, Catherine. Your gestures of sympathy, as well as your presence at the funeral home, the funeral mass at St. Anthony's and the Burial, comforted us during this difficult time. We would like to thank the staff at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, as well as the Parish Community of St. Anthony's for the beautiful services that were provided for Catherine. For all of you, who reached out and called to express your sympathy over our loss, your words gave us comfort. For all the memories and reflections of Catherine that you shared, gave us peace and solace. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for remembering our beloved Catherine and for being a specail part of her life. She lives on eternally in all of your hearts and in the love that you shared. God Bless You All.

Friday, June 12, 2009 Dear Katie: It is impossible to believe that it is one week today that you left this earth. Amidst everyones sadness and despair, and all of the preparation for the funeral services, we all shared together so many memories of YOU! The one and only YOU! From your family, to all of your friends, the community at St. Anthony's and your cherished caregivers, each one of us, have been touched in a very special way by your presence here with us. Although, life is never perfect and you, like all of us human beings, struggled with the ups and downs of life, your faith and your belief in God always sustained you. We are all comforted that you are at peace and that your suffering is now over and you have been reunited with your cherished loved ones. All of your family members and cherished friends will miss you always. But we know that our loss, is Heaven's gain. The memories of YOU will continue to live on in our heart's always. I am so sorry to hear Catherine passed away. I have been thinking of her these last few weeks. Right now I am in Arizona, and sorry I cannot attend her funeral. We were neighbors on Summer Street and have so many nice memories with Eileen and Nancy growing up. Now she is with her beloved husband, and she can rest in peace. I will be sure to visit her grave when I return.

Dear Catherine, I write this with a lump in my throat. I am so sad that you have left this earth, I will never forget you. You are certainly one unforgettable woman. I have know you my whole life, and I'm sure you know how much I love you. I slept by your house often as a child and I will never forget waking up in the middle of the night only to find you standing over me, you wanted to make sure I was still breathing. Dear Catherine, My heart hurts to know I won't get to see you again, I can't begin to tell you the countless times I've thought of you warmly and with all the love in my heart since I have last seen you. I miss you so much and I hope so much that you knew that along with how much I love you.
