Obituary of Joseph C. Duffy

Duffy, Joseph C. age 47 of Bloomingdale died Friday, December 12, 2008. Born in Englewood he lived in Dumont before moving to Bloomingdale 20 years ago. He was a former volunteer fireman in Dumont. He attended Powerhouse Christian Church, Wyckoff, NJ. Surviving is his wife of 25 years, Kira (nee Strole) Duffy, his children, Matthew, Brendan and Brittany all of Bloomingdale. He was predeceased by his son Adam in 1984. His sisters and brothers, Audrey Usher, Joan Lord, James Duffy, Judith Manzi, Sharon Alycia, Elizabeth Mooney, John Duffy and Jeanette Zacharia. Also surviving are his 24 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Arthur and his godson, Jason Manzi. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday 10:30 A.M. at Powerhouse Christian Church, 500 West Main St. Wyckoff, NJ. Cremation will take place at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorial contributions be made to "Aunt" Kelly Manolis, 41 Shadyside Road, Ramsey, NJ 07446, for an account to benefit the Duffy children.
