Obituary of Malcolm Duff

DUFF, Malcolm H., "Bud", age 86, died peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2007 with his family by his side. Born in the city of Orange, he lived in Wyckoff for 30 years before moving to Midland Park, six years ago. Malcolm was the owner and operator of Duff Lumber Company of Fair Lawn for 30 years until retiring in 1983. He served his country during World War II as a First Sergeant with the 380th Bomb Group in the United States Air Corps. Bud is survived by his beloved wife Shirley (nee Plack) to whom he was married for 61 wonderful years, his son Robert and wife Vivian of Wyckoff, his grandson Michael Pepitone of Mahwah, his sister Helen Cristen of Rochelle Park, and his niece Elaine Swallow of Mahwah. He was predeceased by his dear daughter Nancy Duff Pepitone in 2001. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral service, Wednesday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Lung Association of NJ, 1600 Route 22 East, Union, NJ 07083, would be appreciated.
