Obituary of Winifred Rutler

RUTLER, Winifred "Winnie" (nee Campbell), 95, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Waldwick for the past 56 years. Winnie was a secretary with American Chimney Company of Hackensack for 20 years. She especially enjoyed volunteering at Valley Hospital's Kurth Cottage. She loved flower gardening and caring for her pets. Winnie is survived by her three sons; David C. and his wife Kathleen of Wyckoff, Michael M. of Waldwick, and Russell A. of Gainesville, FL., her eight grandchildren; Cindy, Michael, Matthew, Timothy, Lily, Olivia, Lori, and Kim, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Grace Abbott of Charlotte, VT. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Tony, to whom she was married for 32 years, her dear son Brian and her daughter-in-law Yvonne. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-3:30 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A memorial service will immediately follow visitation officiated by Reverend Russell Rutler of Living Waters Church, Gainesville, FL and Reverend Jack Lohr of the Presbyterian Church At Franklin Lakes. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Kurth Cottage, c/o The Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 North Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450-9982, would be appreciated.
