Obituary of Vincent M. Tobin, Jr.

Vincent M. Tobin (age 60) died suddenly on July 1, 2020. He is predeceased by his loving and devoted parents, Vince and Jean Tobin. He is survived by his sisters Rosemarie Tobin (Morey Vrooman), Pat Sargent (Jerry) and Debra FitzPatrick and his niece and nephews Jerry IV, Joe and Matt Sargent, and Tess and Bill FitzPatrick, as well as countless aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. Vinny graduated from Park Ridge High School and for many years was a loyal and hardworking employee of Red Lobster Restaurant. Vinny loved spending time with his family and friends at the many Tobin gatherings and at Long Beach Island. He was an exceptional volunteer for the Soup Kitchen Ministry at Church of the Presentation, preparing and delivering meals to guests in Newark and Harlem. Vinny enjoyed working outdoors and took great pride in caring for his property. He loved German Shepherd dogs and had several over the years. He was an avid NJ Devils fan and was thrilled when he saw them win the Stanley Cup with his father. Recently, Vinny was surrounded by a group of friends who not only supported and loved him, but gave him some of the happiest moments of his life. Visitation will be at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass for Vinny will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Church of the Presentation, 271 W. Saddle River Rd, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Burial will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
