Dear Bernice,
Words do not come easy at a time like this and they are never enough anyway. Even though your grief and sorrow may seem overwhelming at this point know that the Lord will give you peace once again in due time. May your lifetime of memories of Bill help keep him close to you in the days ahead.
Many memories of him come to my mind. I can still remember how proud he was of his brand new, shiny, black 1959 Ford that he bought fresh out of the Navy. And the years while I was still in school that I needed to be ready to roll every Saturday morning at 4 AM to help him on his milk route. And the Sunday afternoon gatherings at Grandma and Grandpa Miller's house. And when I was on the farm in Delhi when he and some of our other cousins and uncles would come up and spend the first few days of deer season every year.
All of us were better for having known Bill. You were fortunate to have known him better than any of us. My most profound sympathy goes out to you and the kids too. God bless you all.
