Obituary of Earl H Schlossman

Earl H. Schlossman, age 75 of Midland Park, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was born in Paterson, NJ and resided in Hawthorne before moving to Midland Park 35 years ago. Earl was a member of the Christian Reformed Church of Midland Park where he served as a deacon. Prior to his retirement, Earl was a Mail Handler with the United States Postal Service in Ridgewood. Earl also gave back to his country by serving in the Army Reserves from 1965-1971. He had a passion for baseball and was an avid Yankee fan. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Van Der Weert) Schlossman of Midland Park, his daughter, Lindsey Perez and her husband Cory of Waldwick, his step-daughter, Susan Leegwater and her husband Dwayne of North Haledon. Also left to carry on their grandfather’s legacy are his two grandchildren, Madison and Dylan Perez and his two step grandchildren, Sara Martin and Megan Leegwater. He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Wilma Schlossman and his sister, Lorrine Schlossman. Due to the current restrictions regarding public gatherings, the funeral services for Earl will be private. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, contributions in Earl’s memory may be made to the Christian Reformed Church of Midland Park, 183 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ 07432.
