I will love you forever, Mom, and miss you even longer. So glad you went "gently in the night." Also that you and Dad never had to know each other passed. At least you are together, forever. Love you with all my heart, Mom.

Sorry Heidi, I didn't know you lost your Mom too, so sad. Thinking of you and hope you and your family take solace in each other. I never met your Mom, but she must have been awesome.

Thanks Maggie. Yes, sadly, Mom passed first and Dad followed just eight days later. COVID-19 is a terrible disease. My only hope is that people take it seriously and we, therefore, prevent the loss of more family and friends. Take care, Maggie. Thank you for sharing the story of the teapot, too. I loved it - that was so typical of Dad.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Heidi, Karen and Kenny. I have so many fond memories of family gatherings with Aunt Sue. She was a brilliant woman who was such an accomplished musician and photographer. She lived a long, full and wonderful life. She will be greatly missed. All our love, Carolyn, Jim, Jamie and Jackie

From: Lonnie T Avant
I am the husband of a close child hood friend (Cindy Frederick / Avant )
I did not know her, although we meet once later in her life. After reading this and looking back on staying in the old house for a night or two. I can really get it that all you write here is true and that she was a very special person.
The house was filled with pictures and all kinds memories of things that you mention here.
God Bless you and all the family at this time.
Looks like she was a Christian women, so all this is all just temporary and the time spent here on this earth is like the morning dew it is here now and gone tomorrow.
Praise the Lord it is not the end. It is a new beginning. We will see her again someday.
With God a day is like a 1000 years here on this earth.

Thanks Lonnie. We so appreciate your kind words. The Frederick family was so special to us all. We grew up in a great neighborhood, the likes of which I have never seen anywhere else I have lived. I am so thankful for that. Cindy was (and is) such a big part of my life as a kid. We had a lot of fun. Then she found you and totally lucked out. Hope to see you all again soon.
