Rose Jung was more than a teacher to me. She was a password I carried with me for decades. Passwords are for Legends. She was an unattainable role model in kindness, warmth, diction, and communication. I am so happy I had a chance to be shaped by someone so special.

I taught for many years with Rose at J. Spencer Smith School. She always had a smile, a joke and a sincere care for the children she taught.
My thoughts are with her whole family.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

I taught with Rose at J Spencer Smith School early in my teaching career, after graduating from William Paterson University in 1955. We had a mutual Smith School teacher of whom we were very fond, Betty Clulow. Rose visited Betty many times and I sometimes accompanied Rose. My tenure at Smith School was short - 1955-1960 but Rose and I kept in touch and she often came to Teaneck Community Band concerts in which I played Oboe. She was a beautiful, caring person and I am sorry to learn of her death.

I had the honor of teaching alongside Rose for three years and will always remember her intelligence, sincerity and willingness to share her love of learning with students and teachers.
