Obituary of Martin Addison

Martin Addison, 44, of Waldwick, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He was the beloved husband of Pamela Swan Addison. Martin was born in Bath, England and moved to America at the age of 8. He was raised in Staten Island where he graduated from Curtis High School in 1993. He received his undergraduate degree from Boston University in 1998, and his Master’s Degree from William Paterson University in 2006. Since 2009, Martin was passionate about his patients and his work as a speech/language pathologist at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center where he specialized in the evaluation and treatment of dysphagia. Martin was a member of the American Speech and Language Association (ASHA). Martin was a true family man. He was a doting "Papa" to his 2 year old daughter and his 5 month old son. He loved sports (Liverpool Football Club/Broncos/Mets/UCONN Huskies), Star Wars, acronyms, James Bond, Dad jokes, playing and fixing up guitars, and listening to all sorts of music. Martin is survived by his loving wife Pamela, his children Elsie and Graeme, his mother Philippa, and his father and step-mother Kenneth and Marilyn Addison. He is also survived by his half-sister Rosanagh Barrow (Andy), half-brother Charlie Addison (Michelle), step-brother Doug Clarke, his niece Imogeon, his nephew Henry, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. A memorial service and celebration of Martin’s life will be held at a future date.
