Obituary of Laura Leone

Laura Leone, 55, of Hawthorne, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Flushing, NY, she lived in Midland Park before moving to Hawthorne three years ago. Laura was a Physical Education teacher in Queens and Brooklyn, and then transitioned to a Special Needs Paraprofessional in the Midland Park School District. Laura is survived by her daughters, Jillian, Michaela & Julia, her partner John, her mother Carmela (pre-deceased by her father Augustine), her siblings: Robert (Phyllis), Stephen, Peter (Susan), Claire (Dave), and Paul. Her nieces and nephews, Peter Jr. (Tatiana), Geoffrey, Elizabeth, Daniel (Vanessa), Gregory, Christopher, Mary Claire, Kelly Anne, and Thomas and her great nieces, Lily and Caroline. Due to the current social restrictions, a private service will be held for the immediate family only. A memorial service and celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a future date.
