Andrew and his family came into the lives of me and my family back in 1973 which was my first year playing baseball in the Bergenfield Police Athletic League. Andrew coach me for four years on three different teams. He often referred to himself as my Italian godfather. I will always remember Andy as a great and generous guy who loves his family dearly. He would frequently visit with my family. Andy was also a integral member of the cub scouts who would regularly meet at St John's church in Bergen. Andy gave a speech at my Bar Mitzvah in February 1978 and he also gave a speech at my wedding in 1992. I will always remember Any for being there for me when I lost my mother in August 1989. He came over to visit about two weeks after my mother passed away. He was able to relate to me as he lost his mother at roughly the same age as mine. He comforted me in my time of grief. It has been my honor to have know Andy since the early 1980s. We worked together for the JCPenney Company and he stayed involved in the Company's retirement group and Foundation throwout his retirement.
Andy was a man with high standards in business and compassion in his personal life.
