To the Fortunato family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the recent death of Tony. I hope the very best memories are top of mind to get you and all of us through the toughest moments.
I worked with Tony on a client and sat on the same floor with him, often stopping in for a quick chat. I always enjoyed his quick wit and laser sharp focus on all things related to our clients and his passion in general on just about any subject be it cars, food or sports. We lost one of the good ones way too early, God rest your soul Tony.
Your friend,
Jim Mercurio

Anthony and his brother David were my first playmates, and therefore always held a place in my childhood memories. In younger adult years, communication was spotty, but not completely absent, and whenever I saw hiim at his dad's restaurant, weddings, or funerals, I was calmed by revisiting a priceless part of my childhood. In our 50s we connected in a more profound way through
frequent communication, and an invite into his home. Prior to Anthoy falling ill, we were in the process of arranging another get together that will now never happen. It makes me all the more thankful for the time we had, and the support he gave me in my profession and my writing. My heart goes out to Angela, Andrew, Nicole and Michael, and I hope to always remain connected to them. Peace in Heaven, Cousin.

Saddened and shocked to hear about the passing of Anthony, a good man. Will always remember seeing him with my father at Uncle Sonny's. Whenever I saw him he had a smile on his face and had a great story to tell, always with sincere Italian gestures. Thinking of Angela and the family from lockdown in London. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Fortunato, we don't know each other, but I had the pleasure of working with Tony over the past five years in the Private Equity Group at KPMG. Tony was always so kind and friendly towards everyone. His signature voice and laugh indicated when he was around. He always stopped to say hello, asked how you were, and was drawn to human interaction. He spoke of you and your three children often, always with love and affection. I am so incredibly sorry for the loss you have experienced. I am certain that Tony has joined all of our other angels and will always be with you and your children.

Tony was one of the first people I met when I joined KPMG. Despite how busy he was, he always accepted my meetings, gave me his undivided attention and didn't just answer my questions, but explained them. He wanted to share what he knew with others. His philosophy was that things didn't happen sitting at your desk, but out with clients, listening, learning and helping. He will be greatly missed.

Tony, I will miss your warm demeanor, your always caring ways, and how thoughtful you were about not just our people also our clients and the work you and your team did for them. I remember when you were working closely with Verizon on the Alltel acquisition. That is when we got to know each other, and my first impression remains till now. A gentleman, a family man, a client advocate, great partner, great representative of our firm.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family today.

I had the pleasure of working with Tony for a little while. He was always so friendly and kind. He will be missed and I am so sorry for your loss. Tony told me how much he loved his pool, and about trying to save the chipmunks that sometimes found their way in there. He put a lot of effort into saving those chipmunks from drowning and we laughed about it. But it was in that story that I learned what a pure, true heart he had. Heaven will welcome him with open arms.
