Obituary of Elwood E Spayd

Elwood Spayd, 89, was a 64 year-resident of Waldwick, NJ, and died on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was born in Bern Township, Berks County Pennsylvania, and graduated from Penn Township High School in 1948. He was a devoted husband to Julia 'Dolly' his wife of 55 years who predeceased him in 2008. After four years in the US Marine Corps, he worked at Bendix in Teterboro, NJ for 40 years. Elwood was a baseball coach in Waldwick’s recreational league, NY Mets fan, and an avid card player for all of his life. He will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by his brother Donald Spayd and his surviving children Wanda, Steven, and Warren, as well as his 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
