Obituary of Marion F. Carroll
Marion F. Carroll (Mac) of Bridgewater, New Jersey (former of Bogota, New Jersey and Hemlock Farms, Pennsylvania) died peacefully at home in the loving care of her family. Marion was the oldest daughter of the late Francis X. and Esther and was predeceased by her sister, Janice Smith. Marion is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 65 years, James H. Carroll, her sisters, Marguerite Sabia and Rosemary Lynch, her 5 children, Patricia, James (Della), Maureen Bartke (Richard), Michael, and Mary-Lynn Crosta (Alan), 13 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Marion graduated from St. Elizabeth’s College and began a career as an Assistant Buyer in the china department at Gimbel’s in New York City. She met Jim, and together they raised their 5 children. Later, she returned to work in the Medical Records Department of Holy Name Hospital.
Marion was a former parishioner of Saint Joseph’s R.C. Church in Bogota and Saint John Neumann Church in Lords Valley. Upon retirement, Jim and Marion built their dream home and retired to Hemlock Farms, where they enjoyed a full next chapter with family and friends. Marion’s days were filled with creative experiences. She loved to putter in the garden, bake delicious goodies, and create beautiful art pieces. Marion believed that all foods were better with butter and that you should always eat dessert first.
