Dear Family of our dear Semi,
We are saddened to hear that one of God's great lights in this world has been taken from us.
We knew Semi for many years and we enjoyed her company and conversations, but we also admired her great faith in our Lord.
We received so many of her "check-in" calls and will miss knowing that she is keeping up with her caring ways towards our family.
Semi, rest in God's loving arms, we will see you again one day.
With Love and His Grace,
Butch and Sharon Sietsma

Samiha was an amazing person! Her strength, energy, love and positivity was beyond anyone
we had ever met. She was an extremely passionate and caring woman. She was also super
generous towards the Stanfields over the years. She genuinely accepted us as family and for
that we are eternally grateful. We are all deeply saddened by her death. We had the privilege of
spending time with her in San Francisco just a few weeks before she passed. It’s a moment
we’ll always cherish and never forget. As I told my dear friend, my ‘other brother’, her youngest
son, Peter Mussad — that woman could move mountains! She certainly did. Her strength and
will was like no other. We’ll always miss you, Semiha!
God Bless You, Dear.
All our Love,
Kumi, Peter and Shogo Stanfield

Our Dearest Sami,
Oh how we will miss you!
We will miss your glorious greeting complete with a great big hug and a kiss on each cheek. The light of God that shined through you so brilliantly and so consistently will be remembered forever. Our world is dimmer without you in it.
Thank you for all the ways that you let God touch us through you.
You were so generous with your time and your spirit, never too tired or busy to lend an ear or a helping hand.
Our times in Matthew's Diner, the Daily Treat and the Country Pancake House will be treasured and when we go there in the future, we will share memories of you.
Your love was felt and appreciated by us and by our beloved parents who got to know you and with whom you shared your joy.
When you gave my mother a shamrock as a surprise, it was just one example of your thoughtfulness and it meant so much to her.
Hearing that we lost you was a shock. Who will lift us up by simply saying, "Dearest"?
I hope you know what a profound impact you had in all of our lives.
We love you. Habibi!

To Samiha's dearest loved ones: Emir, Dawna, Albert, Glenn, Peter, Souma and family,
My deepest sympathy and prayers in the loss of dear Sami.
I always called Sami an angel. Still, it's unimaginable to think of my life without Sami in it. I met her many years ago working in the nursing home she supervised. She was the most energetic, hard working, compassionate, enthusiastic nurse I had ever seen. She was such a consummate professional with outstanding, impeccable standards of excellence. Her patients were everyone in the entire building. Sami was their sunshine, perpetually in motion - always encouraging, laughing, conversing, hugging, and comforting their families as well. She could multi-task her nursing and supervisory responsibilities and still celebrate and advocate for every individual resident. They would miss her on that rare day she was off, eagerly anticipating her return.
I was so lucky that we became friends and that she became a part of my family. We all loved talking about her life in Egypt, her lovely family and exciting trips she enjoyed especially those with her sons. Sami celebrated so many important days in my life with my family. I treasure every phone call and visit we had over the years. We had so much fun and she made every moment memorable. When Sami called you a friend, it meant you had her prayers, loyalty and devotion. She was a role model of wisdom, self-confidence, grace, fierce independence, deep faith and unwavering strength. Her love was arms wide open, kisses on both cheeks, hearty laughter, and encouraging words to lift your spirit. She saw the good in everyone. She really understood people and always knew the right thing to say as she was guided by the Holy Spirit and lived her faith in action.
She treated everyone as a gift from God, but she was the gift to all who knew her. She was even born near Christmas! I am missing her now and she will live forever in my heart.
