Obituary of Veronica M. Dahl

Veronica M. Dahl passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the age of 90.  Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she grew up in Brooklyn, NY, was a former resident of Wyckoff, and had recently moved to Franklin Lakes. Veronica achieved a Masters of Science in Nursing, and worked as an Infection Control Nurse, at Barnert Hospital, Bergen Pines County Hospital and Orange Regional Medical Hospital in Middletown, NY. Veronica, Roni to her family and friends, led an active, energetic life.  She enjoyed swimming, gardening and was a biking enthusiast, participating in many bike tours, including a week long tour along the canals in Holland.  She loved to travel with her family and friends and explore new places throughout the world, and spent many summers with her family at Long Beach Island. Veronica is survived by her five children: Gerri A. Dole, Noreen P. Feuer, her husband Stuart; Stephen M. Dahl, his wife Caryn; Andrew S. Dahl, his wife Nancy; and Lorraine M. Hamstra, and her husband Ross; 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, her brother Joseph Bakota, his wife Regina, her sister Libby Lotz, her husband Larry, and 8 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Contributions in Veronica’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program, P.O.
