Obituary of Lilliana Pierina Reilly
Our beloved Mimi took her last breath on the morning of June 8th at St Anthony’s Hospital surrounded by her family, and was lovingly welcomed into heaven by her previously deceased children Theresa and James.
Lilly was a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart Neal, and loving mother to her children Michael, Susan and Stacey. Those who knew her know that she lived a life full of zest, her smile and laughter easily filling any room with joy. Lilly spent most of her time enjoying her children and grandchildren. When she was not with her family, she could be found hosting parties and laughing with friends. Each year she looked forward to returning to her childhood summer home in Italy and annual family vacation in Martha’s Vineyard.
Lillian was a devout Catholic, who would always serve the community by giving back to those in need. She continued these activities by bringing smiles to a small collection of families she visited in Newark, New Jersey. Lillian was employed at the Manhattan West Hair Salon in Tenafly with her childhood friend April, whom she met at the age of 5 and loved dearly.
Lillian is survived by her children; Michael, Susan and Stacey and 7 grandchildren; Alexandra, Connor, Erik, Julia, Ryan, Jason and Riley. And as any great mother would want to leave it, the war over who is the favorite child wages on…
The Reilly family will receive friends at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, New Jersey on Wednesday, June 12th between 4 and 8pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 13th beginning at 11am at Mount Carmel Church, 10 County Road, Tenafly, NJ.
