Obituary of Pastor Joseph P. Talone III

Pastor Joseph P. Talone III went home to be with the Lord  on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the age of 57.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a resident of Mahwah.  Pastor Joe holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Bryan College. He received his Th.M. Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. Before coming to Fardale Trinity Church in Mahwah, he worked for Interstate Batteries in Dallas, Texas and Hackettstown from 1985 until 1998. In 1998, Pastor Joe accepted God’s call to full time ministry as Senior Pastor of Fardale Trinity Church.  He thoroughly enjoyed reading, studying and teaching God's Word; his flower and vegetable garden; crabbing, camping and fishing; and playing ball with his beloved dog, Fritzy "Nipper." Joe was the loving and devoted husband of 35 years to "Sweet Sandy"; loving father to Andrew Talone, his wife Sarah; Daniel Talone, his wife Kristina; Abigail Jung, her husband David; Josiah Talone; and dear son of Mary Talone and the late David Talone, Sr. “Poppy Joe” was the intentional, fun and loving grandfather to Olivia, David, Gabriella, Lincoln, Hosea, Eliza Paige and expecting the arrival of his seventh grandchild, Josephine, in September. He is also survived by his two sisters Dolores Magoc and Julie Talone. He will be sorely missed by his cherished family, friends and dear church family at Fardale Trinity Church.  Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Fardale Trinity Church, 73 Chapel Road, Mahwah, NJ, 07430 with a Memorial Service to commence at 12:00.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Fardale Trinity Church. Arrangements are by Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ.
