Obituary of Barbara Graessle

Barbara Graessle, 77, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2019 at the Teaneck Nursing Center with her 2 sons by her side, listening to a little Elvis (her favorite), Fats Domino and some classical guitar.  After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s she is finally at peace.

Barbara Graessle was born in Paterson to Cornelius and Doris Fells on 10/28/1941.  She went to Midland Park High School and graduated with the first graduating class in 1959. She went on to become a legal secretary and was employed with various law firms over her long career. She raised a family in Saddle Brook, NJ and resided there most of her life. She enjoyed ice skating, bowling, music and dancing. She also loved the beach, as it always brought her peace and serenity.  Most of all, she loved her children and dedicated her life to them.  Her greatest contributions live on in the ideals, values, and morals she instilled in them. 

Barbara is survived by her daughter Cindy Graessle Hernandez, her two sons, David and Dan Graessle, along with her six grandchildren, Julia and Zachary Hernandez, Braedon and Gabriela Graessle, and Donovan and Daniel Graessle.  She is also survived by her two brothers, Jim and Casey Fells and her sister, Ruth Fells.

Memorial service will be held at Vander Plaat Funeral Home on Wednesday April 10th from 4-7pm.  Eulogy and special dedication will be from 6:30-7pm.  Family and friends are welcome to speak.
