Obituary of Matilda Fox

Matilda Fox, known to all as “Mati”, passed away on October 21st 2018 at the age of 85. One of four children Mati was born on Sept 23rd 1933 to the late Rocco and Emanuela Fischetti. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother, Mati spent many years helping students in the advisement department of Ramapo College. Mati was a devoted Catholic and parishioner of St. Luke’s Church for over 40 years.

Mati is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Edward. Mati is survived by her sister, Sister Mary Fischetti of Sisters of St. Joseph’s. She is also survived by her children, her son Edward and his wife Diane, and her daughter Janice Nestor and her husband Joseph. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren: Kelsey, Joseph, Brittany, Edward, Haley and Andrew. She will also also be missed by many nieces and nephews, along with many sister and brother-in-laws. She was predeceased by her brothers, Tommy and Pat Fischetti.

Mati was a very spiritual person who cherished the many friends and families in her life. A visitation will be held on November 10th 2018 at St. Luke’s RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk, Ho Ho kus, NJ beginning at 9am with a funeral mass to follow at 10am. Inurnment to immediately follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery.
