Obituary of Johanna Van Grouw

Johanna Van Grouw passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the age of 86. Born in West Paterson, NJ, she was a long time resident of Midland Park, NJ, before moving to Wyckoff, NJ. Johanna was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and a lifelong member of the Ebenezer Netherlands Reformed Church in Franklin Lakes, NJ.  Johanna is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Samuel P. Van Grouw, Sr.; four sons: Samuel P. Van Grouw, Jr., (Janice), Paul Van Grouw, (Carolyn), Steven Van Grouw, (Pamela), Timothy Van Grouw, (Marni), daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Van Grouw; 20 grandchildren, 29 great -grandchildren, sister Marge Mondrone (Richard). Johanna is predeceased by her son James (Jim) Van Grouw; three grandchildren: Janine, John and Douglas; two great-grandchildren; two brothers: George and John and a sister Irene. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at the Christian Health Care Center, 700 Mountain Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at which time a funeral service will begin. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
