Obituary of Blair Bajraktari

Blair Bajraktari passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 57. Born in Trieste, Italy, he immigrated with his parents to New York City at the age of two. A graduate of Columbia University, Blair turned from law to investment banking and maintained his fervent passion for political thought and debate throughout his life. An avid golfer, he loved golf course architecture and studied its design and connection to landscape. Blair was the consummate coach, whether encouraging his wife’s art career, his brother’s business ventures, his son’s baseball practice, or his daughter’s gymnastic goals. His advocacy, intelligence, sense of humor, and solid friendship are irreplaceable. Blair is survived by his soulmate, Catherine; adoring children Hana and Alec; devoted brother Tim; sister-in-law Samantha, as well as his niece Anya, and nephews Ian and Myles. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at which point a spiritual service will be lead by Dr. Suzanne Drake.
