Obituary of Margaret S McVeigh

Thomas P. “Tom” McVeigh, 97, passed away on July 21, 2018 and his beloved wife, Margaret “Maggie” Sayles McVeigh, 93, passed away on August 25, 2018.  Their loving marriage of 67 years began after they met in Kansas City, MO.  Tom was born in Philadelphia, PA and worked as a Certified Public Accountant, joining then-Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) and becoming managing partner for Asia, based in Tokyo, Japan, where they lived for 28 years before returning to live in Litchfield County, CT.  From there they moved to New Jersey; at the time of their deaths they resided in Wyckoff.  Maggie was born in Clinton, MO and eventually became an airline stewardess for Mid Continent Airlines, a profession she left in order to raise their two children, who survive them: Rod McVeigh and his wife, Rebecca of Oakland, NJ and Lindsay Turner and her husband, Paul of Granger, IN.  Also left to carry in their legacy are their five grandchildren - Andrew, Alex, Ari, Ben and Ian and their great- granddaughter, Rose.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
