Obituary of Joseph Louis Sidawi

Joseph Sidawi of Franklin Lakes, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Joe came to the United States in 1976 from Beirut, Lebanon settling with his family in Franklin Lakes. He founded Group Wholesale Travel in Hackensack, a tour operator specializing in travel to North Africa, Europe, and South America.

Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Yvette (Hage), his devoted children, Doris Chauvancy, Dany Sidawi, and John Sidawi and his wife Abigail. Joe also leaves behind his two grandsons, Alex and Chris Chauvancy.

The Sidawi family will receive friends on Sunday August 12th, 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. A prayer service will follow at 5:00 PM.
