Obituary of Margarita Milagros Granata

Margarita Milagros Granata, 75, of Mahwah, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 surrounded by her family.  Born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, Margarita lived in Teaneck before moving to Mahwah 38 years ago.

 

Margarita was a member of Cursillo of the Archdiocese of Newark, a coworker of the Missionaries of Charity and was a spiritual director.

 

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael, her children: Michael Granata of Finksburg, MD,  Denise Hooper of Reisterstown, MD, and Deborah Castro of Waldwick, NJ; and her 6 grandchildren: Christopher, Colleen, Michael, Andrew, Maria and Cristina.

 

Visiting hours are on Thursday, May 3, from 4 to 8 pm at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 4, at 11:00am at the Church of the Presentation.

 

Entombment will follow at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
