Obituary of Rosaria DiBenedetto

DiBenedetto, Rosaria (nee Mele) age 78 of Wayne died Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  Born in Sala Consilina, Italy she came to the United States in 1968 and lived in Paterson before moving to Wayne in 2004.  She was a cook for Don Bosco High School, Paterson, NJ until 1991.  Rosaria was a former parishioner of St. Mary’s RC Church, Paterson, NJ and most recently attended Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church, Franklin Lakes, NJ. 

Surviving are her children, Michael DiBenedetto and his wife Rosanne of Springfield, GA; Angelo DiBenedetto of Ft. Laurderdale, FL; Anna Conlon and her husband Robert of Franklin Lakes, NJ; Nunzio DiBenedetto and his wife Ada of Vernon, NJ and Tony DiBenedetto and his wife Elizabeth of Butler, NJ.

Also surviving are her seven grandchildren: Frank Hackett, Michael DiBenedetto, Paula Conlon, Nunzio DiBenedetto, Caitlin Conlon, Giuliana DiBenedetto and Isabella DiBenedetto, her 3 great grandchildren, her former daughter in law Tina and her 2 brothers, Tony and Frank Mele.

She was predeceased by her husband Francesco in 2004, her daughter Paula in 1992, her 2 sisters, Anna Guerreiro and Carmela Mele and her brother, Michael Mele.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.  Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30 am at Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ with the interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
