Obituary of Catherine R. Megnin

MEGNIN, Catherine R. (nee Kuhlmann) age 86 of Allendale formerly of Waldwick died peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017.  Born and raised in Union City, Catherine lived in Waldwick most of her life before moving Allendale in 2009.  She worked for Grand Union in both Midland Park and Ridgewood for more than 25 years before her retirement.  Catherine was a parishioner of St. Luke’s RC Church in HoHoKus where she was a member of the Rosary Society.  Surviving are her devoted children; Georgeanne and her husband Daniel Bakker, Michael Megnin and Jean and her husband Peter Angeloudis.  Catherine also leaves her 3 grandsons; Philip, Simon and Benett.  She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Richard E. Megnin in 2002.

The Megnin family will receive guests on Saturday, 8:30 until 9:15 followed by prayers at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.  Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM at St. Luke’s RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., HoHoKus.  Interment will be in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.  In lieu of flowers; memorial contributions in Catherine’s name may be made to the St. Luke’s Rosary Society.
