Obituary of William "Billy" Miller Haigh

William “Billy” Haigh, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at home with his parents and family by his side.  Billy was born in Ridgewood, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Midland Park.  Billy’s challenges never got in his way to live life to the fullest.  He loved spending time riding dirt bikes, swimming and playing sports.  He is survived by his devoted parents, William and Ruth (nee Weimar) Haigh of Midland Park, his loving sisters and brothers in law, Linda and Jay Van Schaick of West Milford and Sandra and Jason Dewey of Forest, VA, his nieces and nephews; Jay, Anna and Rachal Van Schaick and Shae, Nate and  Garrett Dewey.  Billy is also survived by his Aunt Doris Ryan, who was his dearest caregiver and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He will be sorely missed by his many caregivers and friends whose hearts have been touched throughout Billy’s life.  Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.  A Funeral Service in celebration of Billy’s life will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by the interment at Redeemer Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Billy’s memory may be made to Christian Overcomers, P.O.
