Obituary of Ingeborg Pietrek

Ingeborg “Inge” Pietrek passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 94. Born in Oelde, Germany she was a resident of Mahwah for 34 years coming from Paramus, NJ. Inge and her late husband, Rudolf, were the former owners of Blue Swan Bakery in Rochelle Park and Saddle River Liquors. Inge was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth’s Church in Wyckoff and a member of the Rochelle Park Rotary. Inge is survived by her son Udo “Hank” Haase, his wife Eloise, her two grandchildren whom she was known as “Omi” to Jeffrey Mockler and Tara Snow; eight great grandchildren: Kyla, Chris, Phoebe, Molly, Henry, Aimee and Lauryn. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Entombment will follow at George Washington memorial Park in Paramus.
