Obituary of Leah Riccardi

Leah, N. Riccardi (nee Nichols), age 74, died peacefully after a long illness on Monday, June 18, 2007. Born in Chicago, IL, she lived in Ridgewood for 34 years before moving to Wyckoff one year ago. Following a career at General Electric Credit Corporation, Leah settled in as a homemaker, raising her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge. She is survived by her beloved husband Joseph A. to whom she was married for 43 wonderful years, her son Joseph M. and wife Gretchen of Mountain Lakes and her daughter Ellen M. Riccardi of Charlottesville, VA. She is also survived by her three dear grandchildren; Jessica, Matthew and Michael, and her sister Sarah Ackerman and brother-in-law Craig Ackerman of Nellysford, VA. Following private cremation, there will be a gathering of friends on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff.
