Obituary of Mario DeSantis

DE SANTIS, Mario age 82, died Friday, June 15, 2007 at his home in Midland Park. Mario was born in New York City. He lived in Elmwood Park for many years before moving to Midland Park 3 years ago. Mario was a Furrier for Rapid Fur Dressings in the Bronx, NY for more than forty years before his retirement in 1987. He served his country during World War II, and was a parishioner of St. Leo's R.C.Church in Elmwood Park. Mario is survived by his devoted children, Diana and her husband John Solarino of Ramsey, Joseph DeSantis and his wife Linda of Oakland, and Doreen Marr of Paterson. Mario also leaves his grandchildren, John, Michael, Anthony, Nicholas, Laura, and Nicole, and his sisters Dorothy DeRusso of Valencia, CA, and Madeline Murano of Pompton Plains. He was pre-deceased by his wife Rose (nee Santomenno) in 2006, and his brother Armond DeSantis in 1984. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 10:00 am from St. Paul's R.C.Church 200 Wyckoff Avenue Ramsey, NJ. Cremation will be private. Visiting is Monday 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
