Obituary of Edward Mahoney

MAHONEY, Edward J. age 76, died Monday, June 4, 2007 at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston. Ed was born in Jersey City on Sept. 23, 1930. He's been a resident of Normandy Beach, NJ and Naples, FL for many years. Ed had a distinguished Wall Street career spanning 40 years, finishing as Director of International Marketing for Merrill Lynch before his retirement in 1989. He was a parishioner of St. William's R.C.Church in Naples, FL, and St. Luke's R.C. Church in HoHoKus. He was a member of the Kensington Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL, and the Normandy Beach Yacht Club. Surviving is his wife of 54 years Agnes "Betty"(nee Sales), his children, Timothy and his wife Liping Shi of Holmdel, NJ, Brian of Fennville, MI, Margaret and her fiancé Bryan LaPooh of Andover, and Beth and her husband Thomas Freeman of Verona. Ed also leaves his grandchildren, Siobhan, Erin, Tucker, Owen, Gavin, and Finn, and his sister Margaret Laux of Saddle Brook. Ed was pre-deceased by his sister Loretta Gnadinger in 2004. Funeral services will be held Thursday 9:45 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Avenue Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral mass will follow 10:30 am at St. Lukes R.C.Church 340 Franklin Tpk. HoHoKus, NJ. Interment will be in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
