Obituary of John Fedigan

FEDIGAN, John "Jack" age 83 of Midland Park, formerly of Ramsey died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. Jack was Chairman and CEO of the Security National Bank and Trust Company in Florham Park. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Hackensack Golf Club in Emerson. Jack served his country during World War II in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the European Theater where he received the Purple Heart and two Battle Stars. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church in Ramsey. Surviving are his devoted children, Barbara Marsden of Ramsey, William Fedigan of Waldwick, and Jay Fedigan of Belmont, MA, his six grandchildren Katie, Victoria, Benjamin, Patrick, Christopher and James, and his brother George Fedigan and sister Jean Thompson. He also leaves his dear friend and companion Lynn Van Sickle of Midland Park, her daughter Dawn Luna and granddaughter Kimberly Reinhold. Jack was pre-deceased by his wife Josephine (nee Battaglia) in 1995. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will be Saturday 10:00 am at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey. Interment will follow in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bergen Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
