Obituary of Tom Hendrickson

HENDRICKSON, Tom A., age 71, died at his home on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. Born on Christmas Day in Hollywood, CA, he lived in Ridgewood, before moving to Midland Park, 14 years ago. Tom graduated from Harvard on a Navy Scholarship and later worked directly with Hyman Rickover on the development of the Los Angeles Class nuclear submarine. Most recently, Tom was a Consulting Engineer at Burns & Roe, in Oradell, NJ. He was also a former Under Secretary of Energy under the George H.W. Bush Administration. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Anne Marie Church, his daughter Dr. Holly M. Hendrickson and husband Dr. Stephen Massicotte of Indianapolis, IN, his daughter Dr. Anne A. Hendrickson of Brooklyn, NY and his son Andrew Hendrickson, and wife Melissa of Huntington, VT. He is also survived by his 5 granddaughters, Alaina & Maia Hendrickson and Leslie, Elise, and Julia Massicotte and his sister Dr. Alice Eagly of Evanston, IL. Visitation will be Friday, May 11, from 4 - 7 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
