Obituary of William Harck

HARCK, William age 91, died peacefully on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at the Allendale Nursing Home. Bill was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 12, 1916. He was a resident of Ridgewood for the past 58 years. Bill was a salesman for the J.H.Williams and Company, an automotive tool distributorship in Buffalo, NY for 34 years before his retirement in1981. Bill had opportunity to serve his community as a Crossing Guard at the intersection on Spring and Pleasant Avenues in Ridgewood for 9 years. He also served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Surviving is his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeannette (nee Johnson), and his devoted children, Russell W. Harck and his wife Inge of Pompton Lakes, and Patricia A. and her husband John F. Cremens of Park Ridge. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. Cremation will be private. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
