Obituary of Mary Murphy

MURPHY, Mary A. (nee Fitzsimmons), age 71, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Born in Newark NJ, she lived in Oradell before moving to Saddle River 26 years ago. Mary owned and co-founded Design Productions in Waldwick, NJ in 1968 with her husband Thomas. She was a parishioner of St. Gabriel's R.C. Church in Saddle River. Mary is survived by her devoted children; Coleen Murphy of Ramsey, Karen Barbato and her husband Michael of Ramsey, Thomas and his wife Theresa of Upper Saddle River, Robert and his wife Linda of Hopatcong, and TJ and his wife Karin of Ramsey. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Christina, Melissa, Jennifer, Tommy, Matthew, Shawn, James, Lauren, and Kate, and her brother Thomas Fitzsimmons of Las Vegas, NV. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Thomas V. Murphy in 2001, and her sister Helen McCormick in 1968. Visiting will be Tuesday, May 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday, May 2, at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church, 88 East Saddle River Road, Saddle River, NJ, 07458.
