Obituary of Eunice La Roza

La Roza, Eunice Smith, age 84 of Midland Park, New Jersey, died Saturday, September 8 2007. Born in Harrison, New York she has been a resident of Midland Park for the last 45 years. Eunice graduated from New York Teachers College in 1946 with a BS degree and worked as a bookkeeper following college. She became a full-time homemaker after starting a family. Survivors include William G. La Roza of Midland Park, her beloved husband and "good guy" of nearly 59 years, and her three children, Carol La Roza Bell and husband Jon of Waldwick, NJ, Nancy A. La Roza of Scranton, PA, and William G. La Roza Jr. of Midland Park. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Noelle Grube and husband Glenn, Marina O'Neill and husband Gregory, Phalen and Casey O'Neill, and her four precious great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Hadrien, Victoria, and Lindsey-Claire, all of Pennsylvania. Eunice will always be remembered for her love of family, her green thumb, the color pink, and her enjoyment of watching golf or playing cards with loved ones. Visiting Wednesday 6-8 pm and Thursday 10-12 noon at the Olthuis Funeral Home, 159 Godwin Ave, Midland Park, NJ. Funeral Service Thursday 12 noon at the Funeral Home, followed by the interment at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood, NJ.
