Obituary of Karl Larsson

LARSSON, Karl L. of Franklin Lakes, NJ died Wednesday at Hackensack University Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 87 years old. Mr. Larsson was a founder and current Chairman of Versa Products Co., Inc., Paramus, NJ. Mr. Larsson immigrated to the United States from Sweden in 1926 and lived from Brooklyn to Poughkeepsie, NY, attending 13 different grammar schools through the depression years. While a student at Brooklyn Tech High School, Karl was the 1937 and 1938 National High School Track Champion in the 440 yard event. He is survived by his daughter Jan L. Larsson, grandsons Kyle and Karl Larsson, and son in law William Brock, M.D. of Franklin Lakes. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred, and son, Kyle. Visiting hours will be at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ (www.vpfh.com) on Monday, September 10th from 2 4 pm and 7 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11th at 11 am at the Community Church of Upper Ridgewood, corner of Fairmont and Hillcrest Avenues, Ridgewood, NJ.
