Obituary of Nora Stasny

STASNY, Nora (nee Reilly) age 87, died peacefully Monday, February 12, 2007 at her home in Waldwick. Nora was born in Waldwick on November 7, 1919, and lived there her entire life. She and her husband Anton owned and operated Anton Appliance in Waldwick, and were associated with the family owned business Stasny's Inn. Nora was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C.Church in HoHoKus. Surviving are her devoted children, Anton W. Stasny, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Leyden, MA, Catherine and her husband Paul Cahn of Wyckoff, and Cynthia Stasny of Bernardston, MA. Nora was pre-deceased by her husband Anton W. Stasny on Feb. 18, 2000, her son Martin J. Stasny on May 23, 2006, and her granddaughter Michelle Stasny on February 19, 1984. Nora also leaves nine adoring grandchildren, Kelly, Chrissy, Billy, Kimmy, Nicole, Ali, Jimmy, Amy, and Abbey, and five great grandchildren, Rion, Mackensie, Callahan, Brett, and August. Funeral services will be held Friday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at St. Luke's R.C.Church, 340 Franklin Tpk., HoHoKus. Interment will be in the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. Visiting is Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
