Obituary of Dorothy Ward

WARD, Dorothy A. (nee Sturr) age 81, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Dot was born in Paterson on March 31, 1925. She lived in Wyckoff for the past 50 years. Mrs. Ward worked as an Installation Clerk for New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in Midland Park for 28 years before her retirement in 1988. She also worked for the Township of Wyckoff as a Court Clerk on a part time basis, and enjoyed painting in her free time. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Wallace E. Ward, her devoted children, Raymond Ward and his wife Joanne of Hewitt, and Susan and her husband Charles Bleasby of Mahwah. Dorothy also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Kayla, Amanda and Charles. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
