Obituary of Anna Anema

ANEMA, Anna (nee Link) age 90, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon. Anna was born in Hawthorne on January 24, 1916. She was a long time resident of Prospect Park before moving to North Haledon in 1996. Anna was a graduate of the Fashion Designing School of Passaic, NJ in 1938, and worked as a seamstress throughout her life. She was a member of the Unity Christian Reformed Church in Prospect Park, and the Ladies Guild of the church. Surviving are her loving children, Joyce and her husband Peter Streelman of Midland Park, George A. Anema of Elmwood Park, and Audrey B. Sowa of Wake Forest, NC. Anna also leaves her devoted grandchildren, Susan and her husband Peter Hook, Jeffrey Streelman and his wife Jacqueline, Jessica Anema, Courtney Sowa and Adam Sowa, and her darling great grandchildren, Daniel, Mark, Kathryn, Jennifer, Kyle, and Caden and nieces and nephews. Anna was pre-deceased by her husband George Anema in 1992, and her son-in-law Tad Sowa. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 9:30 am from the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Avenue, North Haledon. Interment will be private at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Visiting is Friday 6:00 to 8:30 pm, also at the Chapel.
