To my mommy.. Words cannot describe nor come close to how much you will be missed by your children and family. You are my beating heart. People see you in me, whether its our eyes, smile, or even our actions. I don't know how my life will go on. All I can say is I will never forget all our memories from you helping me through my knee surgeries, eating sushi together, and of course the beach. All I can do is make you proud and I will. I know you're watching over us, our protector. I know that when I see a butterfly wondering around, I know its my mommy. Or when it is a beautiful day, I know its my mommy. I know you are all around, happy and pain-free. I love you so much and I will never say goodbye, only see you later. I love you mommy<3

I met your mother last year during those early Saturday mornings preparing breakfast for the football team. I later met and sat with her at a couple of games. She was a genuine person with whom I wish I could have spent more time. My son, Nick, and I send my deepest sympathy and prayers to her children.

Kathleen: We will miss you and the family link we shared. Thanksgivng at Gram and Bump's, Old Lyme Shores, and the fun and unexpected adventures and dramas that occurred when Frank, Jim, Jean and their spouses and kids got together with the Finley Clan. Who can forget your rendition of "Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head" on Rockledge Drive, accompanied by your Dad on piano? May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. Love, Aunt Sally, Jim, Steve and Jeff

Kath; You were a sister, a mentor, and a friend. Lots of great memories: parties at 304, concerts, the City, roadtrips, Colorado, NH, and many more. I will cherish them all and wish we could have made more. Life is short, too short for you, but you lived it to the fullest. You will be missed more than you know. Your brother, Tom

To Kathleen's children, Dad, brothers Tom & Edward, and other family members: Having shared some of Kathleen's tribulations during the many years that I have known her and other members of the Van Itallie family, I was shocked and deeply saddened upon learning of her recent, premature passing. When I last spoke with her, just a couple of months ago, she sounded content and at peace. I will miss her.

Dear Jessica, Grace, Henry and George, I was so sorry to hear that your mother died. She was a good mother to all of you. I will pray for you and keep you in my thoughts. Grace, I hope you remember me; you were a sweet little girl when I had you in my reading class at OLM. I am not teaching at OLM any more but have lots of things to keep me busy. I am especially enjoying my 5 grandchildren, one of which is named Henry (whom I also remember). Sincere sympathy to your whole family.
