Obituary of Harold Monsees

Harold K. Monsees, age 83 of Waldwick, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2006. Beloved husband of Alice Jane (nee Buyanovits). Loving father of Alice Jane Monsees of Waldwick, Patricia Lawler and her husband Patrick of Wyckoff, son Stephen K. Monsees and wife Debra of Monroe, NY. Dear grandfather of Patrick, Stephen and Edward Lawler of Wyckoff, Stephen and Christina Monsees of Monroe, NY and Kristen Monsees of Hamburg, NJ. Also survived by sister-in-law Elaine and husband James Groendyk of Dunedin, FL and sister-in-law Nadia Monsees of Toms River and many nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his brother Frederick Monsees in 2004. Harold was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. He was with the Rochelle Park Police Department. In 1951 he joined the New Jersey State Police and became Staff Sergeant. He retired after 23 years in 1975. He worked for Cerami Pontiac and Western Pest Control for many years. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
