Obituary of Fina Messineo

Messineo, Fina (nee Giraldi) age 98 of Wyckoff died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at her home. Born in Paterson she lived there until moving to Wyckoff 50 years ago. With her husband Edward, Fina was the owner and operator of Messineo's Department Store, Paterson, NJ for over 50 years. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, Wyckoff and a member of its Senior Citizens group. She was also a member of the Wyckoff Senior Citizens Group. Surviving is her sister, Mary Schulmeister of Haledon, her brother, Adam Giraldi of Lowesville, VA. Also surviving are her nephews, Fr. Larry (John) Schulmeister of Baltimore, MD, Joseph and his wife Cindy Schulmeister of Stockholm, NJ, Alfred and his wife Marilyn Giraldi of Morristown, NJ, her niece, Gloria Woods of Franklin Lakes and her great nieces, Sheri and Loren Schulmeister. She was predeceased by her husband Edward in 1992, and two brothers, Michael and Alfred Giraldi. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Prayers Monday 9:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ.
