Obituary of Edna Wacker

WACKER, Edna M., age 100, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Edna was born in Passaic and has been a resident of Wyckoff since 1960. Edna was a homemaker and a former employee of AT&T. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church in Wyckoff. Surviving are her loving children, Robert J. Wacker of Stroudsburgh, PA, and Sr. Helen Wacker (Franciscan Sisters of Peace) of Cortlandt Manor, NY. Dear grandsons Craig Wacker and wife Camela and David Wacker, and dear great grandchildren Bethany, Matthew and Jacob Wacker. Also survived by her loving caretaker Janet Bram. Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years Herman J. Wacker in 2001 and her loving daughter-in-law Marion Wacker in 2004. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:30 AM from the funeral home followed by a funeral mass, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff.
