Lisa, Ryan and Lauren, Regina and I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I graduated high school with Greg back in 1983. We played football together and even shared a few classes. He was always a happy guy as I remember with a big smile on his face. I remember being on the field when he caught a touchdown pass on Thanksgiving day against our rival Lenape back in 1982. It seems like only yesterday. I have not been in touch with Greg over the past 15-20 years but even still his passing is a great shock to me. Our prayers go out to all of you. Sincerely, Joe and Regina Pharis & Family

I had the opportunity to work closely with Greg for over six years – both at Ticketmaster and at the Garden. When I started at TM, I was in my early twenties and Greg was a few years older. It was remarkable to me how much he had his life in order at a young age. It was something to aspire to – while most of us were singles living 3 deep in shoebox rentals, he owned a terrific home, had a beautiful wife and was starting his family. I remember asking him back then about being married and having kids. Typically when you ask a married man about family life, you get an eye roll or a lame joke about the ol’ ball and chain. That was never the case with Greg - his eyes always lit up when talking about Lisa and his babies. I also know how much he loved his parents. He frequently talked about his dad and how thankful he was that his dad was strict with him at times and taught him how the small things make a difference. At times we he needed a break from work and was ready to have some fun, his personality was as big as his stature. He’d come walking over with that look in his eye and you knew you were in trouble. There was no avoiding Greg, you just had to roll with it and soon the entire room would be laughing. During these times he was a mix of Jay Leno and Buddy Hackett with a dash of Shrek. The things he would say – often over the line, sometimes mean but never hateful, always funny and sharp. I’ll always remember those times with him. Lisa, Lauren and Ryan – Greg made such a positive difference in so many people’s lives. Thank you for sharing him with us.

I remember the first time I met Greg..it was in 2007 at our Prudential Center pre-opening orientation. It was my first experience working at an arena and as I stood amongst the other new ticket agents, I immediately felt his optimistic spirit and support. During my shifts, I enjoyed witnessing the bond between Greg, Al, Rick and Kim working so well together in the office. You couldn't help but smile when you were in Greg's presence and his distinctive laugh was infectious. He also instinctively knew when to tell the right joke. It's going to be tough going back to that ticket window knowing that one of our "captains" isn't there. I will miss his helpfulness, and his sincerity and most of all his box office stories..they were ALWAYS funny. To Greg's entire family (especially Lisa, Lauren and Ryan), even though I have only known him for a short time, it was an honor to know and work with him, and I hope you find strength and peace in the love and smiles he brought to your life. His spirit will live on in all of us.

While its hard to accept the passing my dear friend (and housemate of over two years), its good to remember all the great times we had and the stories that are as fresh today as when we experienced them. One that comes to mind is the Christmas party at Joe Mac's house (those who attended remember the Christmas tree with no needles). I still can't figure out how we got that tree into the subway car, then the path train, and then into the taxi home. By the time we got it in the door, we had dragged it, banged it, and dropped it so many times, all the needles were gone. We knew just how Charlie Brown felt after we tried to dress it up and make it look like new. Greg always knew how to enjoy himself and would always find a way to put his trademark grin on the occasion. Keep smiling buddy. We will miss you.

Lisa and Family, I am so sorry for your loss, you have been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard this unfortunate news. I met Greg when I started working at TM. Being new to the city, I had no idea how to get from the office to the bus terminal to find my way home. For the first week Greg taught me the subway system and helped me find my bus. When the spring came and I wanted exercise he walked with me down 9th Ave. to catch our buses home each night. When I was pregnant, he carried my laptop for me and made sure there was a spot for me to sit on the subway. He was an all round great guy with a contagious smile. Lisa, he adored you and spoke lovingly about you each day. Lauren, I remember how excited he was when he found out he was going to be a Dad. He used to make everyone in the office laugh too. Greg was loved by all and will forever be in our hearts. Peace, Kathy Falcone-Bernstein and Family
