Obituary of Patricia Rhatigan

RHATIGAN, Patricia A., age 83, died peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2009. Born in Manhattan, NY, she lived in Paramus for 52 years before moving to Midland Park five years ago. Pat was a skilled homemaker, talented artisan and avid volunteer. She served in the Valley Hospital Radiology and Maternity Departments for twenty-two years. She was a parishioner of Annunciation Church, Paramus and most recently Church of the Nativity, Midland Park. Pat is survived by her beloved husband John to whom she was married for 63 years, her three dear daughters; Maureen Firth and husband Stephen of Haledon, Patrice Tobin and husband Frank of Midland Park and Lynn McVey of Hawthorne. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Lieutenant Matthew Gabbianelli, USCG and Murphy McVey. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Mass, Monday, 9:30 AM at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ 07432 with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
